A month ago, published, unpublished, casual and budding writers were invited to contribute to what will be the first Sri Lankan Anthology of Hint Fiction, based on Hint Fiction edited by Robert Swartwood.
Prospective writers should anchor their story (or stories) to something very Sri Lankan – a phrase, place, event, issue, marker, adage, trait, historical chapter, reference, image, dish, sweetmeat or map, for example. The idea is to evoke something of this country – something loved, reviled, longed for or missed.
Details of this writing project can be accessed at http://groundviews.org/2012/07/08/invitation-to-prospective-writers-a-sri-lankan-anthology-of-hint-fiction/
